We are sad to announce the sudden passing of Stanley (Stan) Cohen on February 5, 2021 in his 84^th year.

Beloved husband of Ida Cohen. Father and father-in-law of David & Vanessa Cohen, Dana Cohen & Andrew Levstein, and Daniel Cohen & Olivia Fournier. Proud Zaidy to Stephanie, Jordanna, Cara, Ryan, and Eric. Brother and brother-in-law to Dorothy & Charles Dubin, and Phillip & Rhea Cohen.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sunnybrook Hospital or North York General Hospital.

Stan received many years of excellent care at Sunnybrook hospital; and we all very much appreciate the excellent care and support from the doctors and staff at North York General in Stan’s final hours.

After retirement Stan, Brian, Dick and I became known as The Bacon Boys and would often meet for lunch and share memories and laughs. David Winterstein

We are so sorry to hear of the sudden passing of Stan. I always enjoyed seeing him across the street, talking to him about school, work, relationships and most recently my son Sebastian. No matter what was going on, Stan would come down from the garage and spend a few minutes catching up. He was a great person and will be missed dearly. Ida and Family, Growing up next door to Stanley meant knowing that the next conversation which would bring a smile to my face was never too far away. He may have been soft spoken, but he was always positive, caring of others, funny and had a genuine love for his family and friends. May Stanley’s memory be a blessing and we wish you our deepest condolences on his passing.

My condolences to the family. Stanley was a life long friend with my Dad Curtiss (Curt) Usherwood. My Dad lived at 565 Atlas Avenue. He spoke many times about his childhood friend. Unfortunately my Dad developed Dementia a few years ago and no longer connected with Stan. Curt passed away April 14 2021. I like to think him and Stan are busy playing together
