Stuart Balaban – It is with great sadness we announce the untimely passing of Stuart Balaban on Tuesday, July 13, 2021. Loving and devoted father to his children, Venice, Brooklyn, Jersey, and Athens. Beloved son of Sheila and the late Irving Balaban. Cherished brother and brother-in-law of Debbie Balaban-Urman and Randy Urman. Special uncle to his nephews, Isaac and Daniel. Grandson of the late Bill and Rose Balaban, and the late Max and Dorothy Weiser.

Stuart shared his love, with Shanell Katz, for their four young daughters. He will be greatly missed by Lacey Powell.

Outdoor shiva, weather permitting, at 71 Drizzel Crescent, Richmond Hill, L4E 1G8. Shiva visits between 1-3pm and 6:30-8:30pm.

Date of Funeral: Friday, July 16, 2021

Memorial Service Location: Private Family Service

Burial Service Location: Mt. Sinai Cemetery, Pride of Israel section

Shiva Details: Outdoor Shiva, weather permitting, at 71 Drizzel Crescent, Richmond Hill, L4E 1G8. Shiva visits between 1-3pm and 6:30-8:30pm. daily.

I take with me many cherished memories, Including meeting Stu, thru a mutual friend. who then shared the holidays with us when he came to visit Windsor; Stu at Sheila's house/ family home, making chicken soup; family seders at his Uncles, may he rest in peace, watching how engaged he was with the girls and his nephews and the pride in his eyes when the children participated in the service; or share their day with him and Shanell at dinner. Actually I remember we all had to share. Even experienced the loving bond he shared with you Sheila. Hopefully memories will sustain you thru this difficult time. Hugs and love sent your way
