Sylvia Garnet was first and foremost, in the most generous sense, a “laissez faire” person. She respected every one’s right to do what they wanted, be what they wanted, as long as you didn’t hurt anyone. Everyone talked to Sylvia about their lives, their questions receiving thoughtful listening. She would send you away with assurance that you would make the right decision. She liked to listen to Miles Davis on Sunday mornings. She thought about psychology and taught anyone who would listen, Freud. She bowled well until she was 92. Practiced yoga. Enjoyed her life and will be sorrowfully missed by her sons Barry and his wife Rosie, Eldon and Glen and his wife Hannah, her grandchildren Jason, Jofrette, Shawn and her husband Michael, Tara and her husband Corey, Dustin, Ryan and Milan and her great grandchildren Tori, Logan, Dylan, Lucas, Blake, Noa, Chloe, and Cole. Life will go on because of you Mother and long after your passing.
Memorial donations may be made to the Baycrest Foundation (416-785-2875) who took such good care of our Mother.
The service and burial will take place at Pardes Shalom Cemetery, 10953 Dufferin St., Maple.
