Sylvia (nee Levey) Glicksman, born on January 27, 1921 in Ottawa passed away on June 5, 2018. Sylvia was married to the late Murray (Bucky) Glicksman, and spent many happy years, later in life, with the late Ernie Steinberg. Sylvia is survived by her sons, Earle and Howard; daughters, Suzanne Price and Lisa Smecca, daughters in law Anita and Bernarda, son-in-law Gino, seven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Wilfie and Milton and sister, Kay. Sylvia had a passion for art, travelling, adventure, music and theatre, hiking, bridge, equality, feminism, dancing, singing, humanism and gardening, swimming and tennis (not necessarily in that order) and much more; she lived life fully. She proudly obtained a degree in Fine Arts at York University in her 60’s. She was involved at the “Y” (JCC), Toronto Watercolour Society, many bridge clubs, Bruce Trail, numerous feminist, humanist and social justice organizations. Special thanks to Bob (Babak) Bagheri, a good friend to mom late in life and Cherrylyn Maguinda and all the staff at Baycrest 2W and the Arts Program for all her kind and thorough care.
