It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear sister, Valerie Rose.

Born in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Valerie was predeceased by her parents Hyman and Bessie Rose (David), and is survived by her siblings Marven, Sharon (Ivy), Ian (Juanita), niece Lianna, nephews Harrison (Carly), Brian (Jess) and Timothy, grandnieces Lily and Willow, grandnephew Hudson, Aunt Pearl and a whole host of cousins and their children who already miss her terribly.

Valerie was a beautiful person inside and out. She was a kind, caring, compassionate, loving, inspiring, hardworking, funny (and loved to laugh!) supportive friend and colleague.

Valerie had cousins from coast to coast in Canada and beyond, and they all meant the world to her. She kept in touch with them, never missed sending birthday wishes, and went out of her way to see them whenever possible.

She loved to travel, read, watch cooking shows (let’s be honest, she loved watching TV!). She was extremely active and loved golf, softball, curling, basketball and volleyball. For 35 years, she worked for the Federal government and while there made many lifelong friends.

Valerie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She will be remembered for her kind and generous spirit, and her unconditional love of her family and friends.

Special thank you to Dr. Marcus Bernardini and his team from Princess Margaret Hospital and the Central West Palliative Homecare Team for all their incredible support during a very difficult time.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Valerie’s name to Princess Margaret Hospital,  416-946-6560 or https://supportthepmcf.ca/ui/DonateNow
