Suddenly on November 26th, 2020, at Toronto Western Hospital. Willy Gnat, beloved husband for 52 years of Gayle. Devoted father of Michael & Whitney, Jordan & Lisa, and Kevin & Karen. Exceptionally proud grandfather of Emmy, Kendall, Alex, Lauren, Colton, Teagan, and Grace. A man of immense pride, he was respected by everyone he met and conducted business with. He was a giant in the industry he helped create. His loss is immeasurable by his family.

Willy and Albert and my brother Joe were close friends from childhood and shared exciting and youthful adventures travelling through Europe and the Middle East. As families we shared many joyful as well as sad occasions with Willy and his family. I last saw Willy on September 22 at Joe’s funeral and we had a very meaningful and touching conversation. He was a friend, a competitor and most of all a kind human being who offered a positive side to everything . His integrity was without question in my eyes and to us a handshake was his word.
