Zuzik (Sara) Burstein will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, Bubbie and great Bubbie by her family. She passed away on the morning of Wednesday, June 14, 2023 with her family by her side.
She is survived by her six children – Sonny, Mory (Debra), Dean (Rona), Nadine (Bruce), Jay and Sean, her 14 grandchildren – Jordan, Jamie, Brandon, Alexa, Tyler, Leanne, Danielle, Stefanie, Lorne, Mitchell, Courtney (Shael), Jordana, Ashley, and Ryan; her great-grand-daughter Daphne. Special thanks to the caregivers for their dedication – Jeanette, Sarrah, Lerma, nurse Emily, Dr.Jordan Elmalem and Dr. Russell Goldman.

Memorial donations may be made to Beit Halochem Canada, Aid to Disabled Veterans of Israel 905-695-0611

Date of Death: Wednesday, June 14, 2023

Yahrzeit Day: Sivan 25

Date of Funeral: Thursday, June 15, 2023

Memorial Service Location: Private family service

Shiva Details: 3600 Yonge St., Apt.933, Toronto, M4N 3R8. Shiva visits Thursday 2 to 5 p.m., and 7 to 9 p.m.; Friday 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The rest of the week Private Shiva will be observed.

My condolences to your family. Auntie Zuzik was always a force to be reckoned with. You you could always feel her presence, as every time she entered a room , things got that much more fabulous. I'll always remember how she left lipstick marks on my cheeks every time she said hello ever since I was a little kid. I was always in awe of this member of my family that seemed to carry herself like a Hollywood celebrity, embodying grace and class. I'm truly going to miss her.

Dear Burstein Family, I remember your mom fondly when I used to spend so much time at your house as a child and have thought of her many times over the years. I am saddened to have just come across this obituary and extend my deepest condolences to the family. I always felt that she was literally the most beautiful woman in the world. Every time there is a new beautiful supermodel that emerges, I think of your mom and then I conclude time and time again that nobody surpasses her beauty. I also remember that she was a bright light and such a pleasure to be around - and she bought me "clackers" in the 60's! I know you must all have wonderful memories to comfort you at this time and it is wonderful to see that she was a grandmother of so many.
