He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Gloria (Lidsky), beloved children Glenda & Joel Freilick, Zack & Dana (Glassman) Fuerstenberg, and Ariela Fuerstenberg, and by his sister Anna Fuerstenberg, and his brother-and-sister in-law Arnold & Margo Lidsky. Loving Zaydie of Benjy, Maya and Lea. Adored son of the late Regina and Henry Fuerstenberg of Montreal, Adam was a child survivor of the Holocaust who often said his entire life was a miracle.

His lifetime contribution to Canadian Jewish Scholarship was recently recognized by an Award from the Association for Canadian Jewish Studies.

Adam was dedicated to his family and to the many communities and causes he cared for which were as wide ranging as his passions and knowledge. Above all else, Adam’s guiding principle in life was always to help other people.
