Martin (Marty) Neal Resnick, born on December 13, 1941, in Brooklyn, New York, passed away on November 21, 2025, at the age of 83. He was a devoted husband to Phyllis and loving father to his children, Jonathan and Sarah; step-father to Kimberly, Jonathan, and David; and grandparent to their six grandchildren. He was also a beloved father-in-law to Larry, Leora, Rebecca, and Dan.

Marty grew up in Brooklyn, earned a PhD in Psychology in Norman, Oklahoma, and eventually moved to Canada, settling first in Waterloo, Ontario, and then in Thornhill. He loved his work as a clinical psychologist and excelled at it. He was proudly Jewish throughout his life, regularly attending synagogue and advocating for Israel. He had a lively sense of humor and a love for games, and could root out levity from any situation. He was also passionate about American and Israeli history and could often be found with a historical biography in hand.

Marty will be remembered most for his warm personality and abundant love for his family, as well as for his determination and resiliency.
