We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Miriam Geta Herr on Saturday, January 17, 2026. Beloved wife of the late Eric. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Robyn and Saul, Pamela and Ian, and David and Jo-Anne. Adored grandmother and great-grandmother of many. Miriam will also be greatly missed by her dedicated caregivers, extended family, friends, and all who knew her.

Dear Robyn and family, I am so sad to hear about the passing of your dear mother. She was my late mom’s neighbour, but above all she was a true friend. My mom adored Miriam, she was kind, loved going out for lunch with friends and was so smart and had a wonderful sense of humour. My sisters and I all got to know Miriam and we loved her just like my mom did. I am in Johannesburg right now and will not be able to attend the funeral/shiva. I wish you all long life and strength at this difficult time.

We fondly remember the times she spent at the DANI Café, surrounded by her many friends.
