Agnes Kubes passed away peacefully on September 27, 2026, at the age of 97.

Born in Czechoslovakia, Agnes survived the Holocaust as a teenager in hiding. She then built a life of extraordinary warmth out of the shattered ruins. She made  a very loving home in Canada with her beloved husband Zoltan, first in London and later in Toronto, and gave everything she had to her family.

Predeceased by her husband Zoltan, she is survived by her children, George and Kathy, and their spouses, Norine and Henry; her beloved grandchildren, Danielle, Evan and Marlon; and her great-grandchildren, Max, Ariella, Charlotte, Liam and Addison.

She was very adoring and loving and she also did a great amount of charitable work in Synagogues. She, along with her loving husband Zoltan, established several scholarships and she helped many people. She will be forever missed and forever loved.
