It is with profound sadness, and hearts full of love, that we announce the passing of Avi Benshabat. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and lifelong musician who met life’s hardest moments with unwavering strength, purpose, and optimism. Avi carried a youthful spirit and an open heart throughout his life, never taking anything too seriously. Above all, Avi believed that family was everything. He always reminded us how rich we were because we had each other. That belief is the greatest gift he leaves behind. Avi will now be reunited with his daughter, Lisa, and his parents, Nissim and Esther Benshabat. He is survived and lovingly remembered by his wife, Gail; daughter, Sherry; grandchildren, Oliver and Emma; and brother, Ofer Benshabat—along with all who were fortunate enough to call him family and friend.
