David Doubilet passed away peacefully in Toronto, Ontario, at the age of 83.

Born in Montreal, Quebec, on January 25, 1943, David lived a long and independent life marked by dedication, perseverance, and deep loyalty to the people who mattered most to him.

David devoted much of his professional life to the practice of law and was a partner at Fasken Martineau Dumoulin LLP. He was known for his strong work ethic, commitment to his profession, and distinguished career.

One of the happiest chapters of David’s life began later in life when he reconnected with Gloria Boucher. Together, they built a life centered on devotion, companionship, and mutual care. Gloria was his soulmate and steadfast companion for more than twenty years, and their bond endured until the very end.

David was predeceased by his parents, Beryl and Edward Doubilet. He is survived by his beloved wife, Gloria Boucher; his brother, Paul Doubilet; his niece and nephew, Karen Doubilet and Daniel Doubilet; and their families, including Tomer Sidi and Tia Thomas, Erika and Eli Sidi, and Shai and Bowie Doubilet.

Although a private person, David maintained a close connection with his family and took great pride in their lives and accomplishments. Outside of work, he enjoyed golf, travel, art collecting, and exploring different parts of the world. He also shared a special bond with his beloved dog, Mr. Prince Doubou.

David will be remembered for his intelligence, independence, dedication, and loyalty to those closest to him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
