Esther Mechanic Stein, 77 years old “ Auntie S E”

14 June, 1949 – 27 July, 2026

After a long and tenacious battle, Esther Mechanic-Stein passed on July 27, 2026. Predeceased by her cherished parents, Lorraine and David Mechanic of Windsor Ontario, and her dear brother Nathan Mechanic.

Esther is remembered by her sister-in-law Myra Gasner Mechanic; her siblings Bill Mechanic and Rachel Kaiman and Sharon Wohl and Alan Wohl, and Beloved by her nieces and nephews Rachel Mechanic-Swirsky (Z”L), Meyer Mechanic, Deborah Mechanic, Liora Mechanic, Micah Mechanic, Ruby Wohl Mazza, and Teddy Wohl. She will be deeply missed by many cousins, as well as friends who felt like family.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at 1 p.m., Rachel Kaplan Hebrew Memorial Chapel, 689 Aylmer Avenue, Windsor, Ontario, N9A 3M2 with Rabbi Gordy Fuller officiating. Interment will immediately follow to Shaar Hashomayim Cemetery, 2650 Pillette Road, Windsor, Ontario, N9A 1T9.
