It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Gad Elmaleh, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and cherished member of Toronto’s Sephardic Jewish community.

Born in Morocco, Gad made Canada his home and built a life defined by hard work, honesty, and devotion to his family. He was a larger-than-life presence whose warmth, strength of character, and generosity left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

Gad is survived by his devoted wife, Stella Elmaleh; his loving children, Thierry Elmaleh and Audrey Elmaleh; and his cherished grandchildren, Madison, Jackson, and Mason Elmaleh, who brought him great pride and joy.

A proud Sephardic Jew, Gad valued family, faith, and community. He will be remembered for the life he built, the values he lived by, and the love he shared with those around him.

Baruch Dayan Ha’emet. May his memory be a blessing.

Funeral will be at Steele’s Memorial Chapel @ 10 a.m. on Tuesday June 9th 2026, followed by the interment at Pardes Shalom Cemetery, Magen David section.
