Joyce Weinstein Binstock

It is with sadness and great love that we announce the passing of Joyce Weinstein Binstock, b’sheret of the late Albert “Butch” Binstock z”l; mother of Howard (Suzanne) and Briana (Daniel); Bubby of Todd, Michelle (Michael), Tamara (William), Joshua (Tori), Elana, Aaron (Nicole), and Jordana (Aaron); and Biggie Bubby of Coleson, Zoey, Ryker, Ari, Janna, Ezra, Samuel, Huxley, Lucy, Riley, and Summer. Beloved sister of Belle and her Bernard; sister-in-law of Merle, Morris, Harry, Lily, Anne and Faye; and auntie to countless Weinsteins and Binstocks.

Joyce was a woman of remarkable spirit, generosity, and integrity throughout her long life. She was an active member of the Jewish communities of Toronto and Pembroke Pines, spending her time volunteering for schools, charitable causes, and Jewish organizations. She will be remembered for her unflinching honesty, keen fashion sense, sparkling smile and enormous heart.

Funeral service to take place on Tuesday, July 14, 2026 at 1:30 pm at Beth David B’nai Israel Beth Am located at 55 Yeomans Road in Toronto.  Internment at Pardes Shalom, in the Beth David B’nai Israel Beth Am section.

Shiva will take place in the social room at 7 Townsgate Drive, Thornhill, July 14 through 19, from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm, excluding Shabbat.

We would like to thank Joyce’s angels from the St. Elizabeth Personal Support Workers group and all staff of the Terraces at Baycrest, for adoring her as much as she adored you.

To honour Joyce’s memory, donations may be made to the Berny & Belle Weinstein Endowment Fund through the Baycrest Foundation, or to the Temmy Latner Centre for Palliative Care at Sinai Health.
