In Loving Memory of Roslyn (Ros) Rewald

It is with profound sadness, and deep gratitude for a life well lived, that we announce the peaceful passing of Roslyn (Ros) Rewald, nee Solomon, on June 22, 2026, at the age of 92.

Born and raised in South Africa, Ros built a wonderful life before immigrating to Canada in 1996 to be closer to her children and grandchildren, who became the center of her world.

Ros was predeceased by her beloved parents, Harry and Betty Solomon; her husband of 39 years, Max Rewald; and her loving partner of nearly 20 years, Claude Cartoon. She leaves behind her devoted brother and sister-in-law in Israel, Michael & Lorraine Solomon; her loving son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Faye Rewald; her cherished daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Bernard Weinstein; her adored grandchildren, Keely & Justin, Lara, Hayley & Benji, Romy & Kyle; her treasured great-grandchildren, Sadie, Theo, Dylan, Harper, and Micah; as well as all extended family in Israel.

Ros will be remembered for her strength, independence, kindness, and deep love for her family. She took pride in always looking her best, cherished lifelong friendships, and found her greatest happiness in being surrounded by the people she loved. Even through the challenges of dementia, Ros’s love for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren continued to shine. She possessed a remarkable strength of spirit and faced the final chapter of her life with the same determination that defined her, leaving this world in her own time and in her own way.

She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
