Ran Kenet

Ran Kenet, born on July 31, 1947, in Israel, passed away in Toronto on April 18, 2024.

Ran was a brilliant man who was always motivated by his spirit of invention. He could also fix any item (even if it wasn’t broken), and otherwise find ways to improve the functionality of basically anything.

Ran could talk for hours about virtually any topic, especially if it involved tennis or cars. Ran also loved listening to music, be it a violin concerto or Israeli folk songs , and he enthusiastically shared this love with others.

Ran also loved sharing his tremendous sense of humour, and often tried (without much success) to share his love of spicy foods – very spicy foods. He took such joy in sharing the things he loved with those he loved.

Ran is survived by his greatest loves – his wife Batia, his three children, Tal, Ziv and Noa, and his four grandchildren. Ran’s strength and humour live on through them all – as does the desire to continuously share the things we love with those we love.
