Henry Ross

Dr. Henry Ross passed away peacefully just shy of 88 years old.  Beloved husband of Dale Ross, loving father and father-in-law of Marla and Raziel Sobel, Tara Ross and the late Shawna Ross York and stepfather and in-law to Danielle and Steve Gillis and Matthew and Suzette Slippoy.  He was a proud grandfather to Yakov Ross Ramsden, Yaakov Aaron, Shmuel Mordechai and Shira Sobel, Chana Levin, Braci Hyman and Elisheva Borenstein.  Step grandfather to Ashton and Addison Gillis.  Great grandfather of 8.  Brother and brother-in-law of Harvey and Shirley Anne Haber and the late Alan Ross.  Henry’s greatest joy was his blended family but his passion was practicing dentistry.  His practice was located at Bathurst and Wilson in Toronto.  He was constantly studying, reading and taking courses to learn the newest techniques.  Even after retirement the only thing he read were dental journals.  He enjoyed skiing, boating, fishing, biking, hiking, bridge and chess.  In later years his mobility decreased and he had to give up most of his activities but he was always happy and content.  Four and a half years ago he had to go into Mill Creek Care Centre, a long term care home.  I want to thank all the amazing staff on 3E.  Henry was always treated with dignity and respect and received the best care.  The staff were so kind to me and I wasn’t always pleasant.  Rest in peace my dear Henry.  Donations in Henry’s memory may be made to Collingwood General and Marine Hospital 705-444-8645 or Mill Creek Care Centre 286 Hurst Drive  Barrie, ON L4N 8M2  705-719-6222.
