Peacefully and surrounded by family at The Ottawa Hospital on Tuesday, May 6. Predeceased by parents Nathan and Dena (Gordon). Beloved husband of Katherine (Shapiro). Cherished father of Alexander “Ander”. Loving brother of David (Glenda) and Cliff (Susie), close cousin to David DeZwirek (Sandi) in Israel, and brother-in-law of Solomon Shapiro. Caring uncle to Jordana and Sammy.
William was adored by many friends, relatives and colleagues, who will deeply miss his intelligence, generosity, playfulness, curiosity and devotion.
He was a talented and innovative electrical engineer who worked in software development and a dedicated volunteer in Ottawa’s Jewish Community.
A Graveside Service will be held Wednesday, May 7 at 1pm at Jewish Memorial Gardens, 2692 Bank Street, Ottawa.
Shiva will be observed at the Moss home, 20 Aldridge Way, and will commence following the funeral service.
