It is with deep sadness we inform you of the death of Morris (Moishe) Devon (Dziewienski). Born Aug 4, 1927 in Wodzislaw, Poland, he survived the Holocaust and came to Canada as an orphan after his parents, grandmother and sister perished. He was a loving husband to Eva, father to Steven and Jeffrey, of blessed memory, father-in-law to Jordan and cherished Zaidy to Sybil, Ailysh and Seymour. His proudest accomplishment and greatest joy was as father to Karen. He lived his life according to the motto “we are only here for a visit” and always said he had the best visit imaginable. He, and his dancing, will be dearly missed by all that knew him. A special thank you to Dr. Adam Dwosh for his longstanding and dedicated care.

The family will be observing Shiva at 107 Carl Tennen St., Thornhill, L4J 7B9. Shiva concludes Tuesday morning, October 19th. Please contact the family directly to arrange visits. Only those who are doubly vaccinated are permitted to attend.
