Peacefully, in Toronto, on Thursday, April 10, 2025. Devoted husband of the late Susan Winter. Dear father and father-in-law of Tom and Sherri Patak, Sandra Patak and Ronnie Rubinger, Judy and Nathan Choran. Proud grandfather of Ryan Patak, Justin Patak; Samara Cohen, Aaron Cohen; David Choran, Solomon Choran, Hannah Choran. Brother and brother-in-law of the late John and Gaby Patak. George will be missed by Chuck Cohen, and by his family, friends, and all those who knew him. Special thanks to the nurses and staff at Forestview Retirement Home for their care and compassion. Much gratitude to Dr. Grossman and the nurses and staff at North York General Hospital for their kindness.
Graveside service on Friday, April 11 at 1:00 p.m. at the Congregation Beit Abraham section, Kehal Israel Cemetery, D.D.O. Due to the advent of Passover, there will be no Shiva. Donations in George’s memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
