Gilda Bennett (nee Betel)- it is with great sadness that we share the loss of Gilda (nee Betel) on Thursday Mar 28, 2024 at 91 years old. She was born on Jan 2, 1933 in Toronto. Predeceased by her parents Rivka and Philip Betel z”l, her husband Edward z”l ; grandson Michael Rosenberg z”l; and both of her brothers Bernie and Myer Betel z”l. She leaves behind her loving children Susan (Marvin) Rosenberg, Joyce Bennett-Rosen, David (Laya) Bennett, and Sheila (Andy) Rechtshaffen. She cherished her many grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and her sister in law Harriet Betel.
Special thanks to Dr Dwosh and the dedicated staff at Mackenzie health; as well as Viva Retirement home where she had many close friends.
A kind hearted person, warm and loving person to her family and friends and anyone who had the honour of being in her presence.
