It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Michael Steven Horowitz on May 15, 2024, in Toronto, Canada. He was born on October 17, 1964, in Toronto, Canada. Michael was a beloved husband to Renee Horowitz and father to Jessica, Matthew, and Jamie. He was a cherished son to Edie Harlang and the late Izzy Horowitz z”l and loving brother to Jeffrey, Stuart and Aaron.
Michael, also known as “Big Mike”, was the ultimate big brother and an incredible friend to all. He loved to travel with his family, go to hole in the wall restaurants, and endless surprise concerts. When talking to Michael, he made you feel like you were the only person in the room and took genuine interest in your life. He made an effort to never forget a face, or a name.
Strong until the end always surrounded by so much love. Michael was larger than life.
