Irving Leiner
Leiner, Irving on Friday, February 16, 2024. It is with great sorrow that the family announces his passing at the age of 80. Devoted husband and best friend for 56 years of Ruth (Abramovitz). Loving father and father-in-law of Bonnie and Sandy Jesion, Adam, and the late Ellen. Proud and cherished Zaidie of Hannah and Sophie Jesion, Benji and Vicky Leiner. Special brother and brother-in-law of Morton (Moty), the late Raymond Abramovitz (Hal Ritchie). Predeceased by his dear parents, Sam and Dora, and his in-laws Beatrice and Joseph Abramovitz. Beloved uncle and great uncle of Aviva and Xavier Guidis and Salomé.
His many passions included being active at Beth Zion synagogue, the Côte St. Luc Men’s Club, the “Y”, sports, poker, golf, being up north, and music from the 50’s and 60’s. He was well-respected in the garment industry and in the community. His loss creates a great void for all of us. Thank you to all the caring staff at the Royal Victoria Hospital.
