Mike Waks (Walsh)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mike Waks, Holocaust survivor, in his 95th year, on Feb 13, 2026. Beloved husband of 68 years of Sonia Walsh. Loving father and father-in-law of Anna, z”l (Jerry), Yona (Earl), and Sheila (Frank). Cherished Zaida of Jason, Coby, Courtney, Aliza, and Stephanie. Brother in law to Risha and Charlie, and uncle to Benny, David, Debbie and their families. Known affectionately as “Dod Mike” by his nieces Claudia, Sofia, Asia, and Jeannette, and their families. Mike and his older brother Itzchak, z”l (Eva, z”l) were the sole survivors of their family after the Holocaust. Pre-deceased by his parents, three brothers, sister and extended family who perished during the Holocaust. We would like to thank Mike’s caregivers who treated him with kindness and compassion. We also extend our deepest gratitude to Dr. Bradley Strauss whose compassionate care and unwavering dedication gave Mike many additional cherished years.
