Frederick Paul Hurwitz, aka Paul, passed away peacefully on the morning of February 16, 2026 at the age of 81, surrounded by his loving family at Humber River Hospital in Toronto.

Paul was a devoted and proud father to Edward and his wife Yarden, and a caring stepfather to Peter and his wife Laura, and Simon.

Paul served his clients as a Senior Financial Advisor and Portfolio manager at Raymond James.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Nina Hurwitz, and his second wife, Diane Carrington Hurwitz. He is lovingly remembered by his partner, Barbara Eckert. Paul was the cherished son of the late William Hurwitz and Ruth Hurwitz-Lerner, and a brother to Richard, (OBM) Michael, and Barry.

He was also a beloved grandfather, uncle, great-uncle and dear friend to many.   He will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched.

The funeral will be on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at 2:30 p.m., Rachel Kaplan Hebrew Memorial Chapel, 675 Aylmer Avenue, Windsor, Ontario, N9A 1T9.  Interment will immediately follow at Shaar Hashomayim Cemetery, 2650 Pillette Road, Windsor, Ontario, N8T 1R1 with Rabbi Sholom Galperin officiating.

A Toronto Celebration of Life will take place on Sunday, February 22nd from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at The National Club, 303 Bay Street, Toronto, Ontario M5H 4G4, 416-364-3247.

Shiva will resume in Toronto:  Sunday, February 22nd starting at 5 p.m. to Wednesday, February 25th at Paul’s home at 19 Rondale Blvd, Toronto, Ontario, M6A 1H6
