Our mother, Nancy Pine passed away at the age of 94 years from congestive heart failure.  She was a dynamic, colourful, dignified and energetic woman, quick to smile, always willing to please, who enjoyed a life she devoted to the love of family and especially her children.  Possessing a razor-sharp memory and a quick intelligent mind, she had the ability to adapt flexibly and gracefully to the challenges and blessings that Life sent her.  Her gifts were her great irreverent sense of humour, her phenomenal culinary expertise, her love of entertaining, and her beyond-generous heart.  She left a legacy of rich cultural heritage, family values and traditions, the love of education, a curious and positive outlook, and encouragement with the inspiration towards striving for our personal best.

She will be missed by her 3 children, Katya, Michael and Charles Pine and their respective spouses: Martin, Helene, and Lori ; her grandchildren in Western Canada: Shira and Jared Blustein and their respective spouses, Scott and Laura; her grandchildren in Los Angeles: Evan, Allison, Ashley Pine and her spouse, Adam;  Her grandchildren, in Toronto:  Matthew and Melissa Pine and her great-grandchildren in Western Canada:  Verona, Alita and Ever Blustein.
