Sara Bendelac

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Sara Bendelac, loving and devoted wife of Mark Bendelac of 59 years. Sara passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on July 30th, 2024.

Predeceased by her loving parents Jacob and Sol Azagury and siblings Salvador and Alberto Azagury. She leaves behind her loving sisters Sonia Wood (Alexander) and Molly Heller (Martin z”l). Sara’s legacy continues with her children, Jacob (Kathy) and Yigal, as well as grandchildren Ashley (David), Joshua, Abby, Alyssa, Adina and Maya.

Sara’s laughter was infectious, and her warm smile could brighten the darkest days. Her presence brought comfort and joy to all who had the privilege of knowing her. She adored her children and grandchildren. Sara will be forever remembered as a pure and gentle soul who made friends everywhere she went.

Though we mourn her passing, we find comfort in knowing that she is reunited with loved ones gone before her and all the beautiful memories we shared with her, we are beyond grateful for the time we had together.

Shiva will be held at the 110 Promenade Circle event room, Thornhill, L4J 7W8 on Thursday, Sunday and Monday from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm and Friday from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.
