Barnet (Barney) Kussner
KUSSNER, Barnet (Barney) – On Sunday, February 14, 2021. Barney Kussner, beloved
husband of Lisa. Loving father of Harrison, Dylan, and Emma. Cherished son of Connie Monson
Kussner and the late Dr. Norman Kussner. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Mindy and
Jeremy Alter, John Kussner and Julia Greenfield, Francy Kussner and Arthur Yallen, and Sara
Kussner. Son-in-law of Jill Thomas. Barnet was a wonderful husband and father. He was a
devoted son and brother. He was a highly respected municipal lawyer at Weirfoulds LLP where
he practised for 32 years. Barney was known for his fair-minded, calm demeanor underscored
by his incredible brilliance. He made us laugh and had an encyclopedic knowledge of the
Beatles and The Who. He was the kindest, most generous man who will be deeply missed by
all who were privileged to know him.
