Leonard Krieser

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Leonard Krieser, who left us peacefully on October 6, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones.

Leonard was born in Toronto, Ontario to European immigrant parents Arnold and Rose Krieser who he is now reunited with after 57 years and 15 years respectively.  Leonard unfortunately became the man of the house at 10 years old alongside his brother George who he is survived by.  Leonard started a family early in his life and was a proud father to Ryan, Shawn and Cody, later welcoming their partners, Carly and Mariam, into his heart as part of the family. In his later years, Leonard found deep companionship with his loving partner, Marlee, who remained by his side, offering comfort and love up to his final moments.

Donations can be made to Chabad of Guelph (https://www.jewishguelph.com/) as campus representation has never been more important than it is today.  Rabbi Steiner was also present with Leonard in some of his final moments to recite the Viduy and the Shema.  Leonard miraculously came to consciousness right at the beginning of the Shema and we are comforted that he was able to repeat it with Rabbi Steiner before losing consciousness.

Send a donation in your loved one’s name and benefit a great cause in their honour.
