Myrna Zeidenberg

After a lengthy illness, Myrna Clarice Zeidenberg, born on August 20, 1937, in Toronto, passed away on January 24, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert Zeidenberg, and the devoted mother of Mark (Robin), Jerry (Linda), Lisa, Barry (Dana), David (Sandy), and Neil. Myrna was the loving grandmother of Robert, Amanda, Ethan, Noah, Rebecca (Ben), Madeline, Drew, Eric, Robbie, Ryan, Matthew, Max, Josh, and Hannah. She was also the sister of the late Yolie and Lorraine; and Norma, her best friend and soulmate. Myrna was a caring aunt to Alan (Stacey-Lynn) and April; Heather, Marci, and Gordon; Jordan, Marla and the late Michelle.

Myrna’s greatest joy in life was her large and boisterous family. She was the heart of their gatherings, always ready to host lunches and dinners where all were welcomed with open arms. Her warmth and hospitality extended not only to her immediate family but also to friends, cousins, and friends of cousins. Myrna was a talented cook and baker, and everyone looked forward to her parties, where her delicious dishes and warm smile created lasting memories for all who attended.

She took immense pride and joy in watching her children grow up, take on careers, get married, and bless her with 14 beautiful grandchildren. Myrna’s love and support were unwavering, and her family found comfort and strength in her presence.

Myrna was an active member of her synagogue, where she found solace and community. She was also a dedicated member of her bowling league and enjoyed regular outings to the theatre with her sister, Norma. Myrna was a woman of many talents and passions, and her vibrant spirit touched the lives of all who knew her.

In her professional life, Myrna was an excellent secretary and found fulfillment in her work at the Dellcrest Children’s Centre. Her dedication and hard work left a lasting impact on those she worked with, and her kindness was felt by all.

The funeral service to honour Myrna’s life will be held on Sunday, January 26, at 2 pm at Steeles Memorial Chapel. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Baycrest for their excellent care and support during Myrna’s final days. A special thanks to Eva Gatica, whose compassionate presence brought comfort to Myrna and her family during this difficult time.
