Harvey Taner
Harvey Taner passed away peacefully on October 24, 2025, at the age of 86. Beloved husband of Ava Taner, his loving wife of 58 years, Harvey was a devoted and caring partner who filled a room with his outgoing personality and interest in people. Born in Toronto where he lived throughout his life, Harvey was a hard worker who ran his own contracting business and encouraged Ava in her successful career. Ava will treasure her memories of international travel, boating in Ontario, fun with friends and family and the care he took of both her and her late parents.
He will be deeply missed by his sister Bette-Ann Goldstein, and his four nieces — Marla Taner and Shona Taner (daughters of Jack) and Melissa Goldstein and Sarena Goldstein (daughters of Bette-Ann).
Harvey was predeceased by his parents, Sam and Margie Taner, his parents-in-law, Max and Anne Geller, and his elder brother, Jack Taner.
