Norma Chapley

Norma Chapley (Née Levinson), passed away 4 months short of her 101st birthday. She was born and raised at 22 Bellevue Ave. in Kensington Market, across from the Kiever Shul, where her grandfather was a founding member. Norma married Irving W. Chapley z’l in 1946. She was a dedicated wife and great support to him in his political career as a North York councillor and on Metro council, as well as the Masons and a leader in B’nai Brith. Norma was also very active in B’nai Brith having served as president of Wilson Heights Chapter.

Norma has 2 children, David and Rosanne, and prided herself in being an outstanding cook and baker.

Norma will be greatly missed by her loving grandchildren.: Yossi (Faigy), Sandy (Aeran), Michele (Jen) and Sam (Marlee), as well as 13 great grandchildren. Norma is survived by her sister Ethel (Ettie) Burke, formally of Belleville, Ontario. A special thanks to Joey Waterman, who has been a great support to her, as well as Morris Oziel, Who stayed with Norma as she approached her final hours, to say shema. Thanks are extended to her very special caregivers, Vivian and Rowena, as well to Dr. Adam Gurau at Baycrest Apotex.
