Gay (Gabrielle) Ronya Claitman
We are saddened to announce the death of Gay Claitman on May 17th, 2026. Gay was a feminist, writer, Actra award-winner, great friend, and lifelong-learner. Her penchant for long city walks was matched only by her quick wit and kind heart. She was an active member of her synagogue, politically involved, and a wonderful mom to Josh and Sabrina, dog mom to Xena, Doxie and Tonya, and wife to Kent Bowman.
She is survived by her daughter Sabrina, son Josh, daughter-in-law Rachel, and grandson Noah (38).
