Albert Yehros
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Albert Yehros on March 3, 2026, in Toronto, Ontario. Born on January 8, 1926, in Cairo, Egypt, Albert lived a full and remarkable life and recently celebrated his 100th birthday surrounded by his loving family.
Albert was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Vera, and a guiding light to his children, Ilan (Amie) and Alisa (Avner z”l). His cherished grandchildren — Inbar, Avigal, Isaiah, Sam, and Ella — brought him immeasurable pride and joy. He always derived happiness from the simple things in life: family gatherings, good conversation, the sea, a beautiful object restored with care.
Deeply curious, Albert had a lifelong passion for Jewish and world history, and he loved sharing his knowledge with others. A skilled craftsman, he took great pride in restoring antique furniture, filling his home with pieces brought back to life by his own hands.
Warm, charming, and endlessly sociable, Albert was a gifted storyteller with a wonderful sense of humor. Whether recalling his childhood in Cairo or moments from later years, he captivated everyone around him. When asked how he was doing, his answer was always the same: “Great — 100%.”
His presence brought light, laughter, and meaning to all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love by his family and all whose lives he touched.
