It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of our dear mother Ruth Gilbert on Thursday July 11, 2024. Ruth was born in Odessa Russia on June 7, 1929 and predeceased by her parents and all of her siblings.

Ruth was the matriarch of our family and was predeceased by our father and her loving husband of 57 years, Samuel Gilbert. Ruth leaves quite the legacy of her three children & spouses: Arlene Weisbart (Norman), Alex Gilbert (Susan), and David Gilbert (Francine), nine grandchildren and twenty nine great grandchildren! Ruth was devoted to giving endless love and compassion to us all.

Ruth touched the lives and left an indelible impression on everyone that knew her. Ruth made so many dear friends at Constantia, her retirement residence over the last number of years! She will be dearly missed by all.

David Gilbert will be sitting Shiva for the following hours at 112 Laurelcrest Ave., Monday to Wednesday 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
