Deanna (Tertia) Goldberg
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Deanna on May 12, 2026. Born in Johannesburg, South Africa, to David Yawitch and Sarah Yawitch (nee Judelowitz), Deanna moved to Canada in 1982, where she established deep roots and a vibrant community of friends. She
was the beloved and devoted wife of Dennis for over 60 years—a marriage defined by unwavering love, partnership, and a shared lifetime of joy. Deanna was the cherished mother and mother-in-law of Rahle & Alon, Jeremy & Peta, Barry & Stacey, and she was the proud and loving Grandmother of Jen, Dani, Josh, Dov, Ezra, Liora, and Avi. Known for her warmth and her involvement with Jewish charities, Deanna loved playing word games with her family and spending countless happy hours playing Mahjong with her dear friends. While she had many interests, her greatest passion was always her family. She will be fondly remembered for her daily good morning texts, and her legacy of love will remain with us always.
