Mark Steven Orlan
Peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family, on August 27th, 2023. Mark, beloved husband of Rose. Adoring son of the late William (Wolf) and Ruby Orlan, and dedicated son-in-law to Max and Marthe Gruzalc. Loving father of David and Amanda, Michael and Zoey, and Nicole. Proud Poppi to his granddaughter Millie. Brother of Ellis and Orit, brother-in-law to Nathalie Gruzalc, and dearest uncle to Chloe (Daniel), Simone (Zak), Danielle (Erik), Bianca, Alannah and Jackie (Uriel).
Mark will be greatly missed by his family and many friends all over the world. He was an avid cyclist, an enthusiastic and well-travelled foodie, a staple in the Schulich Business School community, and an important figurehead of the Apter Friendly Society.
The Orlan family extends its heartfelt gratitude for the wonderful care and support Mark received from Sunnybrook Hospital, Tammy Latner Centre for Palliative Care, and the ALS Society of Canada.
Special and heartfelt appreciation to Mark’s caregivers John, Tracy, and Ryziel, for their extraordinary love, support, commitment and devotion.
