Dr. Edward (Eddy) Wein
Eddy passed away peacefully with his wife of 50 years by his side on August 9. Loving husband to Anita, Brother to Linda, Father to David and Kevin, grandfather to Eden, Dalia and Noa and beloved Uncle to Michael, Sarah, Yeumi and Ari.
Eddy was born in Israel before there even was an Israel where his Father fought in the 1948 War of Independence. From there, the family moved to Toronto, Canada where Eddy has lived ever since.
Eddy loved hiking and was always in search of new vistas to share with his family. Later in life Eddy and Anita moved part-time to Sedona, Arizona to be close to his son and his three granddaughters who live in Phoenix.
Eddy adored his three granddaughters and they adored him right back. He was a constant presence in their life and they formed many wonderful memories together over the last seventeen years. In particular, Bat-Mitzvah trips to Israel and the Caribbean on a family cruise were highlights for everyone.
Eddy was a kind and generous soul who always had time for the many people in his life. His presence made the lives of those around him better and he will be missed dearly.
