Fela Miller

It is with the deepest sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Fela Miller, adored wife, selfless mother, beloved Bubbie, loving sister, devoted daughter, and cherished friend, on July 5, 2025, at the age of 84.

Born in Russia on July 21, 1940, and then moving with her father Srul Grynberg z”l, her mother Roma Grynberg z”l, and her brother Irving Grynberg z”l, to Poland and Israel before settling in Toronto where she met and married the love of her life, her greatly missed husband Leon Miller z”l.

Fela lived a life defined by unwavering dedication to her family and friends.  Fela was the treasured mother and mother-in-law of Ken Miller z”l, Annette Miller and Randy Wax, and David and Sharon Miller.  Her greatest joy was spending time with her seven adored grandchildren Rachel, Ryan, Jordan, Sophie, Evan, Matthew, and Lexi, each of whom she loved deeply.

Fela’s home was always open, filled with laughter, tradition, and the delicious smells of her famous cooking. She passes down important Jewish values of love, resilience, and family unity that will live on through her children and grandchildren.
